Development Strategy

Phased Approach to Resource Development

Our two-phase strategy accelerates first oil while optimizing long-term recovery. Phase 1 utilizes Early Production Facilities to gather critical reservoir data, informing Phase 2's full-scale Central Processing Facility design.

Phase 1: Early Production

Accelerated first oil using rental EPFs and existing wellpads. Road transport to KPRL Mombasa provides operational flexibility during data gathering.

  • Target Rate 20,000 bpd
  • Fields Ngamia & Amosing
  • Wells 48 total (24/24)
  • Transport 600 Trucks
  • Timeline Dec 2026 - 2031

Phase 2: Full Development

Optimized development with Central Processing Facility, expanding to all six fields. Rail transport increases efficiency and reduces environmental impact.

  • Target Rate 50,000 bpd
  • Fields All Six Discoveries
  • Facility Central CPF
  • Transport 155 Rail Wagons
  • Timeline 2031+

Basin Overview

Six Discovery Fields

South Lokichar Basin contains six proven oil discoveries with complex fluvial-lacustrine reservoirs from the Lower to Middle Miocene period.

Ngamia Field

Largest discovery with multiple stacked reservoir zones. Key contributor to Phase 1 production with 11 wellpads planned for full development.

Amosing Field

Second major producing field with complex reservoir characteristics. Successful water injection trials completed with 3 wellpads in Phase 1.

Twiga Field

Significant resource potential with integrated development approach. Phase 2 development target connecting to CPF.

Etom Field

Additional discovery for Phase 2 expansion. Extends plateau production period with connection via gathering system.

Agete Field

Strategic location for Phase 2 integration. Reservoir optimization through advanced modeling and completion technology.

Ekales Field

Complementary resource adding to long-term production sustainability. Full integration with CPF infrastructure network.
