Job Description:
The Telecom Manager manages the Telecom business production process in the Company through the technical, sales and field teams to deliver world-class Internet & ICT Services to internal and external clients efficiently and effectively. The position is critical to maintaining and improving technical delivery standards and overall technical set-up, fault management, driving sales and marketing initiatives to deliver on business growth plans, enhance brand visibility, and foster customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of Utilities to develop a business plan for Fahari Link and formulate compelling products and services to drive business growth.
- Plan network infrastructure, systems and human resources to accommodate upgrades necessitated by a growth in subscribers, a change in customer utilisation patterns or technological advancements in line with business plans.
- Generate detailed weekly reports for the Head of utilities or their designate, providing insights on sector developments, regulatory updates, and operational challenges. Offer actionable recommendations for overcoming these challenges.
- Liaise with external suppliers (e.g. international bandwidth providers, Telecommunication companies and equipment/software vendors) to ensure cordial working relationships for the ease of procurement of their services
- Supervise technical and sales teams to deliver world-class service to customers.
- New telecom products idea generation, idea screening, concept development and testing, building a market strategy, product development, market testing, and market commercialisation of new products. Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market segments.
- Ensure appropriate use of all technical and production resources, including human resources, ensuring maximum efficiency while continuously improving.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities and customer preferences.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven experience in a similar managerial position, preferably in the Internet/Telecom business sector.
- A relevant bachelor's degree / BSc Computer Science / IS/IT/ Electrical Eng/Telecom or any other relevant degree. MBA, CISA, and PMP certifications may be advantageous.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent understanding of the technical and business aspects of the Telecom Business
- Creative thinking with the ability to develop innovative business strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet business-set targets.
