Strengthen your research skills and grow your network
The AERC Training Programme is designed to build a pool of well-trained locally based professional economists to conduct policy-relevant research pertinent to sound economic management for sustained development in sub-Saharan Africa. The Training Programme is collaborative in nature, bringing together departments/schools in local public universities across sub-Saharan Africa offering masters and doctoral level studies in Economics and Agricultural Economics, as well as build institutional capacity of these departments/schools to offer quality graduate training. The collaboration features joint development of a common curriculum and teaching materials, joint facility for electives, and enforcement of standards through internationally recruited internal/external examiners and Academic Advisory Boards.
