Discover Adani

Adani Group is actively engaged in two major projects in Kenya that focus on energy and airport infrastructure development.

Energy Projects

Adani is involved in two significant energy projects aimed at enhancing electricity transmission in Kenya. The first project under Africa 50 includes a 165 km, 400KV line and a 72 km, 220KV line, with an estimated cost of USD 313.25 million (Ksh 44 billion). The second project, led by Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, encompasses a 197 km, 400KV line, a 101 km, 220KV line, and a 90 km, 132KV line, with a total estimated cost of USD 907 million (Ksh 127 billion). These initiatives are designed to improve power connectivity and support sustainable economic growth in the region.

Airport Development

In the aviation sector, Adani Airports Holdings Limited (AAHL) has submitted a proposal to upgrade Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. This partnership aims to enhance airport infrastructure by constructing a new passenger terminal, adding a second runway, and refurbishing existing facilities. The project is part of a public-private partnership and aligns with the Kenyan government’s medium-term investment plan. The total investment for this upgrade is projected at USD 1.85 billion (Ksh 242 billion), demonstrating Adani’s commitment to transforming JKIA into a world-class travel hub.
